Please note: One pack contains 1 Taping Loop. If you need multiple loops in one size, we recommend our double pack.
Whether hallux valgus or hammer toe - Taping Loops® can correct toe misalignments and relieve pain in a simple and natural way.
A taping loop is an elastic band that you put on the foot and that takes over the job of the slack ligaments in the foot that cause the toes to become misaligned. When applied correctly, the affected toe can be pulled immediately into its correct position. Loops can be worn barefoot, over toe socks, or tabi socks.
Hallux valgus, or bunion, is a misalignment of the big toe that is often learned by the foot through the wrong footwear. The big toe increasingly bends toward the smaller toes. The ligaments that are meant to align the big toe forward become so slack that they can no longer keep it straight. The consequences are serious and can be felt throughout the whole body: pain, tension, wear and tear in joints, misalignments all the way up to the teeth. Healthy toes are the foundation not only of mobility, but also of quality of life.
The taping loop can take over the function of the slack ligaments and gently pull the big toe back into its natural position.
When walking, the big toe and the big toe joint can again be loaded correctly, and misalignments and damage caused by the body’s compensatory postures can be avoided.
With hammer toe, one or more toes are claw-like bent; most often the second and third toe are affected. In this case, the ligaments on the underside of the foot are so slack that you can no longer pull the toes down. The intact ligaments on the top side pull the toes upward - causing them to curl inward like claws.
The taping loop takes over the function of the ligaments on the underside of the foot and pulls the toes back down.
The joints first need to get used to the new position slowly. That’s why we recommend wearing the loops at first for about one hour a day and gradually increasing the duration over 1-2 weeks. After that, you can also wear the loops 8 or more hours per day.
The loops are machine-washable at 30°C. We recommend using a laundry bag to protect the material.
