The Coolmax® effect

Coolmax® is a quick-drying polyester yarn. Moisture does not absorb into the yarn, but remains on the surface of the sock. This is artificially enlarged by microstructures so that water evaporates more quickly. The evaporation process extracts energy from the ambient heat. The effect: the socks are drier and cooler than conventional yarns.
